The Christie Lodge overlooks the beautiful Japanese Garden at Cowden in Clackmannanshire. The cosy, well equipped lodge accommodates four guests with two ensuite bedrooms, a comfortable living space and underfloor heating throughout. Enjoy garden access during opening hours.
Lodge Details
With its own private drive accessed via the Cowden Garden entrance, the lodge can accommodate four guests. There are two ensuite bedrooms (one with a Superking bed and the other with 3’ twin beds). The master bathroom includes a 1700cm x 750cm bath and large enclosed shower. The second bathroom is more of a wet room with a large shower. There is also a kitchen/dining/sitting room, a separate loo by the entrance and a tiny utility room (with washing machine and tumble dryer). Underfloor heating throughout. Please note that we are not able to welcome pets due to the proximity to the Japanese Garden.
Accessibility: Christie Lodge is suitable for standard sized wheelchairs. We have grab rails in both bathrooms, but please note that the lodge is not fully accessible as even though a wheelchair can turn in the wet room, the loo does not have assistance rails or an alarm. The house is positioned on a slope, but there is access to the Japanese Garden via the private drive or from the disabled bays by the visitor reception area.
The Japanese Garden
The lodge is divided from the Japanese Garden by a perimeter yew hedge and residents will be able to visit the garden during opening hours. The tearoom in the garden serves breakfast (10.30am and 11.30am), lunch and teas.
